Biography

Ruma Samdani is a seasoned growth operator who thrives at the intersection of startup speed and enterprise-grade rigor.

With over 24 years of experience, one of her career highlights is building from zero, launching a startup growth program to generate a net-new pipeline, and forging relationships with VCs and channel partners at a large technology company. As a Gen AI coach, she enables cross-functional teams to redesign critical workflows and prototype AI-enabled solutions through process design, AI tools, rapid prototyping, vibe coding, and business storytelling. At global organizations and clients such as White House Office of Innovation, SAP, AARP, and Nestlé ME, she has led transformational initiatives that require complex stakeholder alignment across diverse industries — spanning digital transformation, change management, and the adoption of Design Thinking as an enterprise-wide methodology to commercialize bold ideas at scale. She has a rare ability to translate big-company processes into nimble growth loops that drive measurable results.

Ruma is passionate about entrepreneurship and backing female founders, with a particular focus on women's health — a critically underfunded sector. She is a mentor at accelerators and venture studios and serves as a hands-on advisor to early-stage and growth-stage startups.

She holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Karachi, an MBA from New Hampshire, and a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University, with additional coursework at Harvard Business School, Stanford, Berkeley, and Yale. Ruma is a Partner at a Silicon Valley-based microfund and has served on Harvard Alumni Boards.
